Dog during a private behavior modification session

Find the root cause. Build the change around it.

When a dog is jumping, pulling, barking, or reacting, the behavior you see is rarely the whole story. In private sessions we work out what's driving it, then put effective solutions in place that create lasting behavioral change.

Everything is one-on-one and hands-on, led by a trainer with 20 years of working dog experience. We don't offer board and train, so you learn how to handle your dog through the change.

How we approach it

  • Start with your story: what you're seeing, when it happens, and what you've tried
  • Find the root cause, not only what the behavior looks like
  • Build solutions that fit your dog, your home, and the way you live
  • Teach you the handling, because lasting change needs you on the other end of the leash

Common questions.

Is behavior modification the same as obedience training?

Obedience teaches skills like heel and recall. Behavior modification targets a specific problem, like reactivity, and why it happens. Many dogs benefit from both.

Will my dog be fixed after a few sessions?

Behavior change takes consistent practice, and no trainer can honestly promise a timeline before meeting your dog. We'll talk through what we're seeing and what to expect in your consultation.

Do you board dogs for behavior problems?

No. All sessions are private and one-on-one, with you involved.

What kinds of problems do you work on?

Dogs with behavioral challenges of many kinds. Describe what's happening in the form below and we'll tell you if we're the right fit.

Where do you work?
